For this week’s Fly On The Wall, I am giving you a sneak peek into some of our hottest Spring pieces from Rebecca Minkoff. Even if it is 5 degrees outside, I want spring trends and I want them now! After neon splashed all over the Spring 2012 runways, celebrities and editors alike have been going crazy for this trend. Sick of my oversized sweaters and dark accessories, I warmed up my winter wardrobe with fluorescents, breathing new life into my day-to-day style.
My usual black uniform instantly took new life with this neon yellow sweater and bright pink & orange bag.

Yesterday, I spent the day on set shooting the uber-chic Pre-Fall 2012 collection. Inspired by the the allure of Paris in the 1960′s, the collection boasts straight lines and “tough chic” tailoring juxtaposed with softness and feminine detail. We had a blast playing with the sleek silhouettes- check out the drain pipe pants in a brilliant persimmon below. Not to be outshined, our snakeskin iPad case is the perfect accessory for this mod mini-leather dress- and everything else in your closet!

There’s nothing more rewarding than a little Minkette appreciation here and there. Today, on a hectic Monday morning, I recieved an email from an adoring Minkette with her mini pet pup perfectly paired with her new raspberry Mini MAC clutch. How adorable? This puppy (we’ve appropiately named him Mr.MiniMACLovin’) is the heartthrob of the day!

The bustling city of New York made way for one of the most powerful and inspiring events of the year: The ING New York City Marathon. Citizens from far and wide gathered this Sunday to run a daunting 26.2 miles on the concrete terrain of New York City. Avenues were flooded with avid supporters providing water, crackers and plently of cheering ! Amongst the many inspiring stories, one particular story hit home, our very own, Erin Creamer (Rebecca Minkoff Sales Manager) completed the run in an amazing 4hrs 53mins 10 seconds. It was the loss of her late father, Chris Creamer, that fueled her ambition to cross the finish line and provided an inspiring guiding light to Minkettes all over the world.

Today we recognized the 45,000 people who participated in the marathon and a grand congratulations to our very own Erin Creamer and Marissa Metcalf , Bloomingdale’s buyer. Here’s an astounding standing ovation to those who’ve conquered the big apple this past Sunday and defined “perseverance” !
