Summer is almost here, and graduation season is upon us. To celebrate we’re taking a music break with Vitamin C‘s Graduation (Friends Forever), so sit back and enjoy the flashback!

Sushi for breakfast? Not our typical way to start the day, but when we found a sweet peanut butter and jelly roll recipe, we could not wait to try it! The delicious recipe on Home Economics by Julie Mollo, who is not only a fashion designer but clearly our favorite chef of the morning. Her breakfast sushi is easy to make and perfect as an early morning pick me up.

Ingredients:

• Peanut Putter
• Jelly
• Tortilla
• Bananas

‘Win some, wear some’ was the mantra at last night’s blogger get-together at the quirky gaming-meets-drinking haven, Carnival. Located in the upscale Manhattan bowling alley and sports bar, Bowlmor Lanes, Carnival hosts a multitude of carnival games, a sprawling dance floor and a bar, which just-so-happened to be serving mango and strawberry Vodka Snow Cones – a warm weather delight that we just couldn’t resist!

Our blogger guests like Natalie of Natalie Off Duty, Christine of My Style Pill and Kim of Eat Sleep Wear, mingled with Rebecca and the RM team over drinks and a generous spread of “carnival food” including sliders, spring rolls, chicken fingers and, of course, the alcohol-infused snow cones. (Can we not say enough about these?)

The night carried on like a throwback to the local fairs from our childhood with games and fun prizes. Rebecca got her “Wack-a-Mole” on while bloggers like Keiko of Keiko Lynn and Lindsey of Saucy Glossie, tried their aim at “Three in a Row” where Lindsey won a RM clutch, as did Wendy of Nitrolicious!

As true Minkettes, we are obviously obsessed with anything that involves neon or studs. We stopped by M&J Trimming the other day and we were inspired by all of the trendy items that they had. We picked up some supplies to make this cool studded neon bracelet – check out the instructions for our DIY below!

Supplies:

• 1/2 ft neon vinyl braid
• 4-5 large studs
• metal closure
• E6000 glue

1. Stick a stud through the braided trim – make sure the prongs go through to the other side.

2. Flip the trim over and fold the prongs down to keep the stud in place.

3. Add more studs, 4 or 5 should be a good amount.

4. Slide the metal closure onto the vinyl, and fold the trim over it. Glue the trim to itself so the closure stays in place. Then do the same for the other side of the closure.

5. Hold the trim together while the glue dries – you may need to use clips or bobby pins to hold it in place.

6. Once the glue dries, you’re all set. Enjoy your bracelet!

They say ‘April showers bring May flowers,’ and for Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere, the forecast proves to be true. Emily rocks the floral Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket, pairing it with a tight leather mini skirt for a touch of downtown edge. Sometimes we get bored with simple nail colors. Luckily, Cheng and Kheng of Brush Crush created an eight-step mani tutorial for newspaper print nails. We are loving the idea of putting the latest WWD updates on our hands! Check out the easy steps below.

Supplies:

• Rubbing Alcohol
• Nail Polish
• Top Coat
• Newspaper

Instructions:

1. Apply a base coat.
3. Apply two coats of polish.
4. Once nails are dry, dip them into rubbing alcohol.
6. Place the newspaper on top and gently press newspaper down for 10 seconds.
7. Slowly peel newspaper from the nail.
8. Apply top coat.

Sometimes we need a little dessert with our Monday night dinner, and nothing makes for a better treat then spiked sorbet. We cannot wait to try the Sorbet With Citrus Vodka and Lime Zest from YumSugar. The simple combination of sorbet and vodka is the perfect warm night dessert. Check out the easy steps below and enjoy!

Ingredients

• 2 scoops citrus sorbet
• 1 ounce citrus vodka
• 1/2 teaspoon fresh lime zest

Directions

1. Place two scoops of sorbet into a martini glass.
2. Pour vodka over sorbet and top with lime zest.
