Summer is here and though we love our long locks, it is nice to put up our hair in the heat. This season, we are all about the ponytail look. Thanks to Arrojo Studio‘s daily hair tutorials on Style Noted, we are able to create a simple yet stylish ponytail without using a plain old hair tie. Check out the easy five steps below to create the romantic ‘do.
Step: Apply detangling foam to damp hair and comb through from ends to roots to untangle any knotty bits for a smooth and polished look.
Step: Apply hair creme liberally from roots to ends. Do a boar bristle round brush blowdry to obtain the most smoothness.
Step: Create a soft side part and gather hair in the back. Use the occipital bone as a guide to where to place the start of the pony.
Step: With all hair gathered in the back, the pony should be nice and thick. Separate a good-sized strand off of the main pony. Wind it around the pony until pony is secure and tie together.
Step: Tousle the shape of the pony by creating texture with a curling iron. Pull out a few hair strands on the inside of each ear. Use the curling iron to make these pieces curly too.
