Summer Sale Style: Bold in Blue

Bold is beautiful, especially when it’s with RM’s signature color: blue. This season (and every season for that matter), we’re all about prints – and the Rebecca Minkoff blue leopard is the perfect way to wear the animal print trend without overdoing it. Today, our Jewelry Account Executive Ilana Ross dons the print head to toe with the matching Kalahari Pant and Alissa Cami (both on sale!) and pairs them with the Becky Jacket in off-white – a wise choice before Labor Day, we might add. Keeping her accessories neutral, she carries the denim and ostrich embossed M.A.B. Mini Bombe from the Endless Summer Sale and adds some edge with the Drew Cage Heels in black. Feeling blue? Celebrating 1 Year: Tara O’Shea

On August 29, 2011, Account Executive Tara O’Shea took her first step into the Rebecca Minkoff offices. Now, one year later (and wiser!) Tara is celebrating her anniversary with the brand in style. Rocking The Georgia Blouse,  The M.A.B. Mini in Natural (both are available at the online Endless Summer Sale!) and topping it off with RM’s signature Becky Jacket, Tara shares her fondest memories of her time at Rebecca Minkoff.

MINKETTE: What’s your favorite memory from working at Rebecca Minkoff?

TARA: My favorite RM memory was attending the Spring ’12 fashion show. I was brand new, and it was my first show ever! It was an amazing way to meet the RM team!

MINKETTE: Have you always wanted to work in fashion?

TARA: Yes! I worked in boutiques in high school and interned for a major fashion brand in college.

MINKETTE: How would you describe your style?

TARA: I like to keep it simple and accessorize. The Becky Jacket is my favorite!

MINKETTE: What’s your favorite part about working for Rebecca Minkoff?

TARA: We are a small company, so even though I’m on the sales team, I’ve been exposed to many aspects of the business – marketing, press, social media, production. It’s been a great learning experience!

MINKETTE: Do you feel like a lot has changed over the past year?

TARA: Yes! I’ve seen a lot of changes – the company has grown tremendously and Rebecca has become an even bigger name!

MINKETTE: Time for the most important question. It’s  tradition at Rebecca Minkoff that after reaching the one-year mark, you get to choose any handbag you want as a gift. Which one will you choose to be your anniversary bag?

TARA: I am choosing a bag from our Resort collection – The Collette. Can’t wait!

RM on the Red Carpet: Holland Roden and Shay Mitchell

Two of our favorite rising Hollywood starlets rocked Rebecca Minkoff on the red carpet recently: Holland Roden of Teen Wolf attended the Elle and Miss Me Party at the Sunset Marquis Hotel with her Rebecca Minkoff Lizard Embossed Vincent Minaudiere in tow. Meanwhile, Shay Mitchell of ABC’s Pretty Little Liars looked hot-pink-chic in her Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket at the Teen Vogue Back-to-School event hosted by Miss Shay herself at The Grove LA. Which red carpet look is your favorite, Minkettes?

Celebs Working their RM Whites

Since Memorial Weekend, celebrities and bloggers alike have been rocking their summer whites. Two of our favorite looks come from Olivia Palermo and Jordana Brewster. Both girls wore their Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jackets, topping off their different outfits with summer’s favorite neutral. Olivia went casual in her blazer pairing it with black skinnies and flats as she walked her adorable puppy (which we secretly want to steal as our office mascot!). Jordana wore her jacket on top of vibrant hues of orangey red and coral for a touch of sophistication. Which look inspires your summer style?

Wendy Wears RM!

Chic and polished would be the perfect words to describe Wendy’s style of Wendy’s Lookbook. Let’s just say she’s the girl you want to take style tips from when ‘modern-Audrey-Hepburn’ is the look you’re going for. With her signature pulled-back ‘do and feminine pumps, Wendy hit a sophisticated note in our favorite summer Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket in the Chelsea Ikat Print that we could see her rocking for a multitude of dress-to-impress scenarios. First date look? Yes. Interview? Double yes. After work cocktails? Absolutely.
