In celebration of Rebecca’s official jewelry collection release, we have deemed the month of October the official Month of Jewelry. While we know you agree with us that this should warrant national observance, for now we’re keeping it to fun contests, giveaways and special features on the blog.

In a rare moment of luck (and great style, might we add), San Francisco boutique manager Kate Ogata was selected by the RM team via a “Style to Win” Instagram competition to attend the Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer 2013 runway show. A die-hard fan of Rebecca Minkoff for years, this opportunity was seemingly impossible to Kate until now. Through social media, brands like Rebecca Minkoff are communicating directly with their consumer and giving them opportunities to interact with the brand like never before. Quoted on CNN.com, Kate reflected on her experience and connection with the brand: “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.
